• Do you think pop culture exerts too much influence on baby names?

  I’m not sure. It’s OK if the name stands up on its own, but not if it’s obviously taken from a celeb – like Miley or Rihanna.

  • That's true. Look how many girls in the 30's and 40's were named Shirley after Shirley Temple.

• Would you let your child participate in a beauty pageant?

  No. Beauty pageants objectify women and children and I don't want my child caught up in that world.

• Young girls in heels: Cute or disturbing?

  Disturbing. It’s inappropriate and encourages an unhealthy habit.

  • Young girls today are too "sexualized" in the media. Let them be kids for as long as they can.

• Do women get skinny for other women?

  I agree with Piers. Haven't you heard the saying that when men enter a bar they check out the women, but when women enter a bar they check out the competition?

  • Sad but true.

• Do you think it's OK to ask women about breast-feeding?

  Yes. It's a very natural question and the more we can openly discuss breast-feeding the better for everyone.

  • I think most people that ask are genuinely interested and think it is a positive thing. Or they want to share their experience with it.

• At what age should parents have 'the talk' with their kids?

  • I was going to say the same thing! We did the same with our kids. Good post!
  • A lot of times the religious parents preach abstinence, and we know how well that works, don't we? Abstinence is a fine concept, but you need to be realistic.

• Is it OK for pregnant women to drink alcohol in small amounts?

  No. It’s an unnecessary, bad habit for pregnant women.

• Does race in movies and on TV matter to young kids?

  No

  • I don't care what the "studies" say: young children are color blind.

• Truth or hot air? Do you believe the Heene family really thought their 6-year-old, Falcon, was trapped inside their runaway helium balloon?

  I still can't tell.

  • They are still investigating. why don't we wait til all the facts are known?
